One M7 Account, More Ways to Sign In

M7 accounts now support more than one way to sign in.

You can create an account with an M7 username and password, or begin with an available federated sign-in provider such as GitHub or Discord. Whichever route you choose, it creates one M7 account—your profile, settings, memberships, and connected services all stay in the same place.

Add more than one sign-in method

You are no longer limited to one login method.

For example, you can create an M7 username and password account, then connect GitHub and Discord. Later, you can use any of those linked methods to enter the same M7 account.

The reverse works too. If you first created your account with a federated provider, you can add an M7 username and password login later.

Manage your sign-in providers

Open Members → Settings → Sign-in providers to see and manage the methods linked to your account.

From there, you can:

  • Bind another sign-in provider
  • Add an M7 username and password login
  • Review the providers already linked to your account
  • Remove a provider or M7 login you no longer use

Connecting or removing a sign-in method requires fresh proof of control. Being signed in to a browser session alone is not enough to make a sensitive account change.

Designed to prevent lockouts

M7 will not let you remove your last usable sign-in method.

Before disconnecting a provider or removing an M7 login, your account must retain another verified way to sign in. This lets you simplify your setup without accidentally cutting off your own access.

One account, your choice

Use an M7 login, a federated provider, or a combination of both. Multiple bindings give you more flexibility without splitting your M7 identity across separate accounts.
